Beginner Surfcamp in Lanzarote with Calima Surf School
🌊 Welcome to Calima Surf School’s Beginner Surfcamp in Lanzarote!
We are located in the heart of Famara, in the northern part of Lanzarote, a place renowned for its impressive waves. Our village is situated within the natural park of the Chinijo Archipelago, right in front of Famara Beach, a 7 km stretch of white sand that provides the perfect spot for all levels of surfing.
🏄♂️ Our Location and Surroundings: The stunning scenery that surrounds us is one of our most prized assets. To the north, the towering cliffs of the Risco act as a natural windbreak, and to the south, an area filled with volcanoes ideal for exploring on rest days. The village offers all the essentials, with cozy local restaurants, grocery stores with local products, and surf shops, including our shop just a minute away from the beach.

2 hours of surf per day (10:00 – 12:00 practice and theory)
🏄🏽♂️ Intensive Surfcamp:
4 hours of surf per day (10:00 – 12:00 practice and theory, 12:00 – 12:30 relaxation time, 12:30 – 14:30 supervised practice).

- Lessons: 2 hours of surf per day (10:00 – 12:00 practice and theory)

- Surf Lessons on the Contracted Days:
- Student to Instructor Ratio: 1 instructor for every 8 students on the beach.
- Free Photo Sessions: Twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:00 to 12:00.
- Equipment Provided: All necessary equipment during the lessons (wetsuit, surfboard, red rash guard, and leash).
- Free Surf Equipment: Free use of surf equipment for free surfing from the third day of the course onwards.
- Transportation: Transport from our sports center in Famara to the class location.
- Certified Instructors: Qualified instructor (Canary Islands Federation and B.S.A.) and water safety lifeguard.
- Surf Level Certificate: Diploma certifying your surf level (for courses of 5 days or more).
- Civil Liability Insurance: Included for all participants.

- Surf Lessons: 4 hours of surf per day (10:00 – 12:00 practice and theory, 12:00 – 12:30 relaxation time, 12:30 – 14:30 supervised practice).

- Functional Training: Dry Surf and Gyro boards training on Tuesdays and Fridays from 17:30 to 19:00.

What to bring
- 👙🩲Swimwear: Make sure you bring enough swimsuits or bikinis to enjoy surf sessions and yoga practices on the beach.
- 🧘♀️👕 Comfortable clothing: Wear light, breathable clothing for yoga sessions and other land activities. Choose loose and stretchy garments that allow you to move freely.
- 🏖️🌞 Beach towel: A large towel will be useful for relaxing on the beach after surf and yoga sessions, as well as for drying off after swimming.
- 🌙🧥 Warm clothing: Even in warm destinations, the nights can be cool. Bring a light jacket or sweater to keep yourself warm when the temperatures drop.
- ☀️🕶️ Sun protection: Don’t forget to wear broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun’s rays. Also consider bringing a hat and sunglasses for additional protection.
- 👟👡 Proper footwear: Bring comfortable sandals for walking around the camp and a pair of sports shoes or sneakers for more intense activities or hikes.

- Check-Out: Before 10:00 am (you can leave your belongings in the lounge and enjoy the rest of the house until your flight departs).
- Late Arrival Supplement: If you arrive after 8:00 pm, when our office is closed, a supplement of 18€ will be charged, payable in cash to the person waiting for you.

Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy
Cambios o cancelación por parte del cliente:
- En el caso de que el cliente decida reprogramar o cancelar la actividad reservada podrá hacerlo de forma GRATUITA, dentro del plazo indicado por la escuela en la información de la misma actividad, a través de la plataforma.

Cambios o cancelación por parte de la escuela:
- Si las actividades contratadas son canceladas por motivos meteorológicos (lluvia, vientos extremos, tormenta eléctrica, etc) o por falta de condiciones oportunas para la práctica de dichas actividades (olas en el caso del surf) la escuela propondrá al cliente las siguientes alternativas:
- Cambio de fecha para realizar la actividad contratada.
- La realización de una actividad alternativa.
- Si el cliente no pudiera cambiar las fechas o no estuviera interesado en realizar una actividad alternativa se le ofrecerá un bono equivalente a la cantidad pendiente de la actividad contratada válido por 1 año desde la fecha de emisión.
- Devolución del dinero
- Las actividades requieren de un número mínimo de clientes para que puedan desarrollarse, el mismo se encuentra especificado en los “REQUISITOS” de la actividad. En el caso de que no se alcance este mínimo la escuela se pondrá en contacto para reprogramar la clase o de no ser posible se le devolverá el importe de abonado.
